Horizon House West is seeking a dependable and compassionate
Part-Time On-Call Human Service Specialist to support women in residential
Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health treatment.
This position provides coverage as needed and is ideal for
someone who enjoys helping others, building positive relationships, and being
part of a supportive team. Responsibilities include mentoring and supporting
residents, monitoring safety, assisting with daily living skills and
activities, transporting clients, completing documentation, maintaining a safe
and welcoming environment, and supporting program expectations.
SCHEDULE
Part-time position with current
needs for:
- Graveyard shifts (12:00 AM-8:00 AM) (highest need)
- Weekends
- Swing shifts
- Holidays as needed
Graveyard shifts receive an additional $1.00/hour shift
differential.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in behavioral health, social services,
residential treatment, or recovery preferred
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Valid Utah driver's license required
- Must be 25 years or older to drive the van (meet
agency insurance requirements)
- CPR/First Aid and crisis intervention certification
preferred
- Must be able to maintain professional boundaries and
communicate effectively with clients and staff

West is a gender-specific residential Substance Use Disorder treatment program
for women, only female applicants may work at Horizon House West.
What You'll Do
- Support clients in their recovery goals
- Monitor client activities and ensure safety
- Transport clients to appointments and recovery
meetings
- Assist with daily living needs and program activities
- Complete documentation and shift responsibilities
- Work closely with counselors and treatment staff
- Build positive, supportive relationships with clients
