Starting Wage: $16.33/hour
Southwest Behavioral Health Center's vision is to help build communities in which citizens enjoy lives free from the stigma and disability of addiction and mental illness. This position requires approximately 8-10 hours per week for evening medication monitoring per day. Hours are from approximately 5:45pm until 8:15pm. Shifts are Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and rotating Fridays. The primary duties of this position include providing medication and medication monitoring to adults with mental illness. Service provided to clients at their residence and includes reporting out-of-base-line occurrences to the case management team. Weekly, staff meetings are held on Wednesdays from noon to 2pm and helpful in completing tasks needed for the position but not mandatory.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Direct Supervision: Provided by the Program Manager, or Team Leader. Supervision includes task assignment, work performance, job expectations and all day-to-day activities.

JOB DUTIES
1. Deliver client medication and observe client taking their medication.
2. Provide a wellness check of client and their surroundings.
3. Document observations in electronic record system.
4. Establishes and maintains open communications with all team members and supports team decisions.
5. Communicates with other staff and supervisor to ensure accurate recording of client information.
6. Participates in weekly staff meetings as frequently as possible.
7. Manage time effectively by prioritizing tasks while handling client needs, staff support, and agency demands.
8. Completes all required training, including electronic learning assignments within assigned time frames.
9. Other projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.Education and Experience:
A. High school diploma or GED
B. Valid motor vehicle driver's license (equivalent to State of Utah Class D).
2.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A. Some knowledge of:
· Mental illness and substance use disorders and treatment programs.
· Community and regional resources engaged in social problem solving.
· Crisis intervention methods.
B. Skilled in:
· Establishing priorities.
· Working independently and proceeding with objectives without direct supervision when appropriate; creatively handling and resolving problems.
· Able to handle and resolve recurring problems.
· Time management principles as it applies to scheduled appointments, meeting obligations, paperwork, encompassing all job duties.
C.Ability to:
· Develop effective professional working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, clients and the public.
· Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

3.Special Qualifications
A. Certified or ability to be certified by the State of Utah as a Case Manager
B. Certified or ability to be certified in CPR/First Aid certification
C. Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (within 6 months and annually thereafter)
