Schedule is 40-hours per week, typically working Monday through Thursday from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Horizon House West has an opening for a Human Service Specialist - Residential Tech. This is an all-women’s residential substance use treatment facility. The position will assist clients in a residential substance use disorder program with daily living needs, transport clients to and from support meetings and monitor the activities of clients. This is a part time position that requires a willingness to work weekends, evenings, graveyard shifts, and holiday shifts. Current shift coverage is needed on weekends, weekend graveyards (midnight to 8am) and swing shifts. It is mandatory to attend monthly staff meetings. If assigned to a graveyard shift, the pay rate includes $1.00 per hour shift differential.

Full-time Prevention Specialist will work with individuals, families, institutions, organizations and communities to promote positive lifestyles, reduce and eliminate drug use and other risk factors that lead to anti-social behaviors, and follow evidence-based practices to engage community leaders, organizations and agencies in uniting their prevention efforts. Prevention services are aimed to impact the general public as well as business, religious organizations, health agencies, public safety departments, school districts, and others, regarding such relevant issues as alcohol and other drugs, suicide prevention, parenting skills, and life skills.
Part-time Prevention Specialist will primarily work with youth and assist with other coalition related duties to promote positive lifestyles, reduce and eliminate drug use and other risk factors that lead to anti-social behaviors, and follow evidence-based practices to engage community leaders, organizations and agencies in uniting their prevention efforts. Prevention services are aimed to impact the general public as well as business, religious organizations, health agencies, public safety departments, school districts, and others, regarding such relevant issues as alcohol and other drugs, suicide prevention, parenting skills, and life skills. Looking for a flexible 19-hour a week commitment with most hours being worked between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
