The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team/High Acuity Therapist (MHT) provides critical treatment and crisis response to the communities of Iron and Beaver County. The MHT provides treatment and coordination of treatment for clients who are at a high acuity state. This includes clients who have been discharged from the Utah State Hospital (USH) and are in need of care multiple times a week to help them transition and stabilize in their journey to recovery and independent living.
The MHT also provides mobile crisis assistance and treatment to community members who are struggling with a mental health crisis. The MHT provides a critical role of helping community members work through a mental health crisis while maintaining dignity, self-direction, and personal growth while decreasing Emergency Room and First Responder load.
Because of the intensity of this position, the MHT schedule is designed to provide more time off than most therapist positions. While this schedule could change, the current schedule is one week of treating High Acuity Clients from 8 to 5 Monday through Friday, while simultaneously working 24-hour on call for Mobile Crisis Response seven (7) straight days during that same week. The MHT then has the next week completely off. This schedule is alternated with another MHT. For further details, please contact the Cedar City Outpatient Program Manager, John Brown, at jdbrown@sbhcutah.org.
*Must be flexible with hours worked to fill the needs of the program requirements, team and client as requested or as emergencies arise.
